電子タバコ、ベイプ(VAPE)のことを「まだ知らない」という人は少なくなってきたようです。
それでもまだ、この新しい電子タバコの事がよく分からないという方のために、最近の電子タバコについて少し触れておこうと思います。

このベイプ製品、すでに海外では数年前から大ブームを引き起こしていました。
その理由の一つに挙げられるのが、ニコチンを含んだリキッドの存在です。
まるで本物のような煙で、タバコと同じような吸い心地や、喉ごしを味わえる電子タバコ。
しかし、本物の煙と同じように、体に有害なタールは含んでいないですから、禁煙したい人を中心に、一気に電子タバコに注目が集まったわけです。
ただし、実際に電子タバコの濃い煙を吸ってみれば納得してもらえると思うのですが、意外と常習性があります。。
なぜ、こんな便利な電子タバコが日本で最近までヒットしなかったのかと言うと、恐らくニコチンの含まれているリキッドは、国内では販売できないという制約（薬事法による法的な）があったからだと思います。
しかし、インターネットの世界では、結構以前から海外の製品をネットで取り寄せる、いわゆる個人輸入代行での電子タバコの販売は盛んだったようです。
そんなマニアックな電子タバコが、最近になって大ブームを引き起こしたのは、海外セレブの電子タバコ愛用や、クラブシーンでのファッションとして流行り始めた電子タバコブームによるものです。

そんなベイプブームに乗って、面白いデザインの電子タバコがどんどん販売されています。
当然、日本ではニコチン入りのリキッドは販売されていませんが、ニコチンが入っていなくても、フルーツ味やタバコの味に似せた、様々な電子タバコのリキッドも販売されています。

最近では、日本でもネット通販で様々なベイプが手に入るようになりました。
これに伴い、最近では安価で品質の悪いリキッドや製品による健康被害も問題になっています。
また、本来は入っていないはずの、ニコチンが含まれたリキッドが日本で販売されているケースや、未成年者への電子タバコの広がりなど、電子タバコが様々な問題を含んでいることが確かなようです。
